IC INFO. CHARACTER: Matthew Michael Murdock SERIES: Netflix Daredevil AGE: 30 HEIGHT: 5'11" WEIGHT: 175lbs (give or take, he's all muscle) NOTABLE FEATURES: For a blind man, Matt puts quite a bit of effort into his appearance. His hair kind of looks like he's got bedhead and he has a constant 5 o' clock shadow look to him, but every bit of his appearance is planned and calculated to project calm and normalcy. Matt is a Normal Blind Man, he can fade into the background or own every eye in a courtroom with just a few shifts in his body language. Don't be fooled, he knows what he's doing. Thanks to his heightened senses, he only wears clothes of the highest quality and prefers socks and sweats to a suit and slacks, but good luck catching him in the former. Otherwise his body language follows what you'd expect from someone who can't see; he doesn't need to look where he's going, doesn't need to track anything with his eyes or head to, say, tie his shoelaces or button his sleeves. Matt may have superpowers, but he's definitely blind. NOTABLE FEATURES: DAREDEVIL As Daredevil, or with anyone who knows about his powers, Matt drops all pretense and allows himself to be himself. He moves with more ease and grace than most people. He's no Iron Fist, but his body is a weapon and he knows exactly how to use it. You'd never guess he was blind if you catch him in his Man In Black getup, except he has the same tells no sighted person would ever have. He doesn't need to turn his head to track things or even need to turn around to dodge hits from behind. Anyone with the right suspicions could figure out there's something superpowered about Daredevil. (VERY) BRIEF PERSONALITY: Matt is Definitely Just A Normal Blind Lawyer who has a huge justice boner and is currently kind of 'what do' about this whole Hadriel thing. He'd very much like to get home to his law practice, but since that doesn't seem possible, he'll have to settle with finding out more about what's going on and fighting whatever monsters appear in the cave since Doing The Right Thing is his driving force in life.

IC PERMISSIONS. PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Touch is very important sense to Matt. Skin contact doesn't just help him 'see' people better, it lets him know things like their pulse, heart rate, etc. So yeah, Matt likes physical affection. ROMANCE: Matt is a human disaster whose relationships are almost always huge mistakes that end with him deciding his partners are better off without him... so yeah, have fun with that if you want to date him. SEX: goodshit.jpg I mean Matt's really, unfairly hot and really great at knowing what his partners want so sex with him is A+++ just expect emotional baggage for days because he can't let himself have nice things. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes!!! Let's talk it out but Matt gets roughed up tons in canon so it's only natural that violence would be his favored form of emotional expression. TELEPATHY: Sure! Though let me know since Matt's thoughts are a pit of self-loathing and righteous justice. TRIGGERS: Matt doesn't have any triggers in terms of emotional or psychological pain, but injustice and cruelty really get his blood boiling to the point of physical violence. So just keep that in mind, maybe don't mention you're evil around him, he's really hard to talk down when he's angry. OTHER NOTES: Matt's super powers give him an edge over most things but he is still visually blind. This means he listens to texts using a screenreader and can't see anything on a screen. He can read braille and things written in ballpoint pen if you press down hard enough. If you feel I'm misrepresenting his blindness in any way, please let me know!
